Computer Account and Password Info
- Each employee is assigned a userID and password to log onto their computer and access other university resources. Certain requirements must be followed when creating a new password.
- View the password info page to learn about password complexity requirements as well as information about changing a known password as well as resetting a forgotten password.
- Duo Two-Factor Authentication is required for remote access.
- HuskyID Single Sign-On information.
- Access Authorization Requests information.
- View the Important Phishing information and remember to keep your password to yourself no matter how convincing an email request for your password looks.
- Be sure to keep your campus office and phone info up to date with HR and other systems including the Outlook address book and web directory. To change it, log on to ESS (use your full email address for username), click on the "Employee Self-Service" tab, click on the "Personal Information" tab, click on "Address and Contact Information", then under "Campus Address", click on "Change Campus Address". Update your Office (Building & Room Number) and Work Phone (include the 570-389-), and click "Save Changes".
- Please understand you will not get to keep your account once you separate from employment with the university, therefore it is recommended that you do not use your work email account for personal use.
- Be aware of the acceptable use of technology policy as well as other Technology Policies, Guidelines and Practices.

Class Folders
Faculty may request a network "dropbox" folder be created for students to upload assignments, documents, etc. This folder can be assigned a drive letter of your choosing. Students in that class section will be able to see the folder listed in their U: drive. They will be able to view only their files. To request a class folder, please enter a Help Desk Ticket, using the following categories: --Problem Type: Application Systems --Category: File Server --Symptom: Class folder request --Description: Please include course and section numbers.

Email
Microsoft Outlook is the software available for employee email. Employees may access Outlook in two ways:
- Using the full featured desktop client (Click Start button and locate Outlook or type "Outlook" to search for it).
- Via the web, using Outlook on the Web (a.k.a Webmail).
Outlook support information and tutorials are available on the Outlook Support Page.
You may also access your email in another email client or on a mobile device such as a smartphone.

Emeritus E-Mail Privilege - Individuals who have been granted emeritus status, or anticipate being granted emeritus status, may request the privilege of maintaining a university email account. The granting of the email privilege is based upon emeritus status, and the individual providing voluntary services to the university. Details here!
