General Information
University policy requires students to use and maintain their university email account as it is an official means of communication. It is against the policy for students to forward their university mail to another account because doing so makes your email susceptible to your other account's spam filter and does not guarantee you will receive your official school-related email.
To log in to your BU Office 365 student email account:
- Point your web browser to http://mail.huskies.bloomu.edu/
- Click on the "Log on as Student (@huskies.bloomu.edu)" link
- Submit your HuskyID and HuskyID password on the HuskyID Single Sign-On page

Student HuskyID and Password Information
- Not sure what a HuskyID is? First check out the HuskyID account and password information page.
- To change your HuskyID Password or to reset a forgotten HuskyID password, go to https://reset.bloomu.edu/
- If you have an inactive HuskyID, instead check the Alumni Email Information page.
Other Office365 Web Applications
- Your Office365 account currently also gives you access to Microsoft’s cloud-based OneDrive as well as Office Web Apps, which can be accessed through the App Drawer in the upper left corner of your student email account webmail.
- Office Web Apps are web-based basic versions of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote. Files are automatically saved directly to your OneDrive.

Office365 Microsoft Office ProPlus Software
- Your Office365 account currently also gives you access to install full-featured Microsoft Office ProPlus software free of charge for personal use on up to five devices.
- This software can be downloaded from the software section of Office 365 app settings located on the gear menu in the upper right corner of your student email account webmail.
