Who attends math lab?

Students enrolled in Intermediate or Introductory Algebra are required to attend Math Lab for 2 hours per week, for a duration of at least 30 minutes per session.

What can I expect at the math lab?

The lab is always staffed with three tutors who are there to assist you with the course material and answer any questions you may have. The tutors are expected to assist as many students as possible while working in the lab.

The Math Lab tutors are there to help you with your studies––not to teach or re-teach the material and not to complete assignments for you.

Preparing for Math Lab

Bring your University ID card with you to sign in upon arrival. Your ID card will be filed and kept at the desk until you check out. When you are ready to leave, provide your name at the desk and the Math Lab tutor will return it to you. Do not leave without your ID card!

Bring all course materials (textbook, laptop, syllabus, notebook, writing utensil, etc.) you need to complete assignments and study.
