Title IX

"No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subject to discrimination under any educational program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance."

— Title IX of the Educational Amendments of 1972 to the 1964 Civil Rights Act

Bloomsburg University often uses the term, sexual misconduct interchangeably with Title IX which includes, but is not limited to rape, sexual assault, sexual harassment, dating violence, domestic violence, intimate partner violence, stalking, and sexual exploitation.

As described in the Harassment and Discrimination Policy (PRP 4789), all employees, with the exception of those identified as confidential or limited confidential, must promptly report all known information in regards to Title IX or sexual misconduct.
