The STEM Magnet Program, launched in Fall 2013, allows high-achieving high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to get a head start on a college career in the STEM disciplines. The program offers a choice in the following areas of focus: engineering, health sciences, technology, chemistry (NEW), environmental science (NEW). It also gives students interested in math or other sciences the tools needed to be successful in college.
The Education Magnet Program will offer high-achieving high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to get a head start in college courses in education disciplines.
In both program, students are immersed in a high-level, intensive academic program that interweaves practical applications and rigorous traditional content. Bloomsburg University college credit is significantly discounted to STEM Magnet students through the ACE (Advanced College Experience) program.
During the summer and breaks, students are offered programming, listen to speakers, and visit local businesses for interactive tours as well as hands-on learning where appropriate. Students who successfully graduate from this program will be offered admission to Bloomsburg University.
