The Presidential Leadership Program Experience

The Presidential Leadership Program Experience

Throughout a student's membership in the Presidential Leadership Program, the following are offered:

Receptions at the University President's Home

Each semester, PLP students are invited to the President’s home, Buckalew Place, for a reception. These receptions allow for open discussion between the PLP students and the President about issues on campus that are important to members and the student body at large. During these discussions, the President and students have the opportunity to get to know each other on a more personal level which enhances their experience within PLP and the University.

Fireside Chats

Monthly discussions with leaders within the BU and local community focused around leadership.

Campus Thanksgiving Dinner

The week before Thanksgiving break, campus dining offers a special Campus Thanksgiving Dinner. Traditionally, PLP members reserve tables and enjoy a relaxing family-style meal together before heading home for the holidays.

End of the Year Banquet

At the end of the Spring semester, a committee of PLP members organize the End of the Year Banquet at a local restaurant. This provides one last opportunity for PLP members to convene before heading out for the summer. New PLP officers are announced and graduating seniors are recognized and presented a token of PLP's appreciate for their years of service to the campus and surrounding communities.
