Tuition Payment Plans

A tuition payment plan is an option that breaks down the large lump-sum payments due at the beginning of each semester into easy to manage installments. You still owe the same amount of tuition, but you now have more time to pay and your payments are smaller and more manageable. Bloomsburg University offers the option to make tuition payments on a monthly basis via your MyHusky account.  The MyHusky Payment Plan replaces any previous payment plan options.

Highlights of the MyHusky Payment Plan Option

Please read carefully before considering a payment plan

1.  Payment Plan Options: (The number of payments in your plan will depend on when you sign up and may only apply for future semesters).  Payment plans are semester specific.
Fall Only – 4 Monthly Payments (August – November) that will be applied to the balance due for fall only. Enrollment opens in July.
Winter Only – 3 Monthly Payments (December - February) that will be applied to the balance due for winter only. Enrollment opens in November.
Spring Only – 4 Monthly Payments (December - March) that will be applied to the balance due for spring only. Enrollment opens in November.
Summer Only - 4 Monthly Payments (May – August) that will be applied to the balance due for summer only. Enrollment opens in April.

Pay tuition through MyHusky

2. Bloomsburg University charges a $35 non-refundable enrollment fee per semester for participation in the payment plan and you need to sign up separately for each semester plan. The $35 non-refundable enrollment fee is due at sign up.

3. All payments are due no later than the established payment schedule dates for the semester. Payment notices are sent electronically to the student BU email address.  All payments must be pre-scheduled for automatic withdrawal.

  • Schedule all of your payments at the time of enrollment and save your payment method to be used for all payments.
  • Payment plans that are current (paid up-to-date) at the time late fees and holds are assessed for the semester will not be assessed a late fee or hold unless the account becomes delinquent.
  • Payments are automatically withdrawn from your designated bank account or charged to your credit/debit card on the date you select each month (or the next business day if the date falls on a weekend or holiday). Your selected payment date cannot be after due date established by BU (see Agreement for payment due date information).
    • You are responsible for making sure that the payment method remains valid for the duration of the payment plan as payments will be automatically deducted/charged.
    • When paying with a credit/debit card, you will be assessed a 2.85% convenience fee by the credit/debit card processor for each transaction. There is no fee assessed for payment by electronic check.

4. Payment plans will be recalculated daily to reflect recent activity, i.e. credits added or dropped, financial aid awarded or returned. Installment amounts may increase or decrease based upon the recalculation. Students will be notified via email to their BU email address of any changes to the payment amount within 14 days of the next payment due date.

5. There is a $25 late payment fee assessed for late payments that are 3 days past due and a $30 NSF fee for returned payments.

6. Payments are posted to the student account within 24 hours. The student will continue to receive email notification of any regular invoices that are generated on their MyHusky account. These statements are provided to the student for verification purposes.

7. When calculating the amount of the contract for your MyHusky plan, any pending loans, grants or other financial aid for which the student is eligible, and has been accepted by the student, will be considered when the financial aid has been posted to the student account. Payment plan agreements on MyHusky will automatically adjust as changes are made to the semester class schedule (add/drops) or payments/financial aid are applied. Any changes may result in an increase or decrease in the total amount due for each installment.

8. If you no longer want or need the payment plan, your contract can be cancelled at any time. All cancellations should be completed before the next installment due date.

9. Tuition and fees for the 2020-2021 Academic Year are as follows: $5,479/semester for in-state students and $11,391/semester for out of state students. Housing and meal plan options are not included in these estimates. Meal plan rates can be found at MyHousing. When the terms of the agreement have been fulfilled, the student should check their MyHusky account to verify that the balance has been satisfied. You should periodically review your agreement balance online.

10. All notifications from the MyHusky payment plan are sent to the BU email address of the student. Students will need to monitor their BU email address for any notifications/changes/updates.

Availability of the payment plan is determined by Bloomsburg University. The university may elect not to have the payment plan available during specific times and dates during registration.

**Payment plans more than 30 days in default will result in the payment plan no longer being an eligible payment option and we will prohibit your access to the plan.**
