An inside look at the economics program

Bloomsburg University's Department of Economics offers a systematic study of the economic issues and prepare students for a wide range of career opportunities in for profit and non-profit organizations, as well as government.

The core of the curriculum enables the students:

  • to master principles of economics,
  • to develop analytical skills, and
  • to interpret economic phenomena.

Majors and Minors

To accommodate the diverse interests at undergraduate level, the department offers three tracks to economics majors that lead to a bachelor's degree.

Major in Economics (B.A. Degree)

Minor in Economics

The minor in economics is designed to prepare students with analytical and problem-solving skills that supplement student's major field of study.
