Spirit of BU Events

The six-week Spirit of BU 2020 runs through Nov. 15, the campus will celebrate the history and achievement of our Huskies at Bloomsburg through a variety of platforms. Join in on the festivities by getting involved and connect with current students, staff, faculty, and our alumni! ALL BU students can be involved (on-campus, off-campus, and those of you at home!) Fall 2020 Senior Exit Show — In the windows of the Gallery at Greenly Center. Featuring art studio graduates, Raven Gordan, Noah Hartman, Keanna Horst, Reagan Radel, and Samuel Swank.

Wednesday, Nov. 11, and Thursday, Nov. 12

BU Players "The Screen Plays" — The BU Players will present six student-written plays virtually on Wednesday and Thursday, Nov. 11 and 12. The plays will be: "The First Date Conundrum" by Kirsten Hamilton, "Gummy Bears" by Kali Morgia, "The Past's a Spy-rus" by Samantha Corcos, "Post-Audition" by Brian Bond, "The Proposition" by Sebastion Logosso, and the "The Wright Solution" by Alexis Mucci.

Stress Less for Success Week
Each day of “Stress Less for Success” Week, Health and Wellness will focus on a different way to manage stress and support your preparation for finals; relaxation, meditation, exercise, sleep, play, and reframing anxious thoughts. The counselors at the Student Counseling Center are also available for same-day appointments. Call 570-389-4255 for availability and to set up an appointment (in person or via Zoom).

Immersive Technology Center Webinar — 2 p.m. Helmut Doll, instructional design and technology, and Scott Mehall, information technology, analytics, and business education, are conducting a webinar to discuss the new Immersive Technology Center.
The Immersive Technology Center received grant funding to establish support for faculty, staff, and students interested in conducting research in the fields of virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR). Several faculty at BU are already using immersive technology for their teaching and research, and many other faculty are interested in its use. This short webinar will discuss the goals of the center, future plans, and will introduce some of the current uses of immersive technologies by BU faculty.
