Student Success Center

Bloomsburg University's Student Success Center, operating out of the Strategic Enrollment Management Division, is fully committed to Inclusive Leadership Excellence (ILE). ILE is the recognition that true academic excellence, global leadership and institutional mission, requires us to include, engage, and learn from one another. A culture of ILE encourages us to embrace inclusion and leadership with greater intentionality and attentiveness to how it can be transformative to an entire campus community while leveraging NEXT practices against BEST practices.

Above all, ILE asks us to actively engage one another for the purpose of providing the very best 360 High Impact Practices to our students. ILE represents a shift, not in the essence of our work, but in how we communicate it and subsequently how we carry it out.

Tutoring Services: Tutoring, including NetTutor, an online tutoring service, is available to ALL students. Details are available on the University Tutorial Services website.

Academic Probation, Dismissal, and Appeal Instructions & Procedures

Once final grades are posted, those students who fail to meet the good academic standing criteria are subject to probation or dismissal from the institution. The relevant academic policies and information may be found at the following links:

Undergraduate Academic Retention Standards Policy
General Academic Dismissal Information
Appeals Information
Counseling Center Authorization Form

Students are required to view their grades via the MyHusky application. Failure to review grades via MyHusky is not considered to be a reason for appeal of dismissal from the institution. Failure to have a current and accurate address on file in the Office of the Registrar is also not considered to be reason for an appeal of dismissal from the institution.

Students who are dismissed from the institution will receive a letter to their home address and an email of dismissal from The Student Success Center. These letters will be mailed to students the week of December 7, 2020. Students have the right to appeal. Letters of appeals, via email, should be emailed to, no later than December 23, 2020. The review board will meet January 6, 2021. Once the Review Board reaches their decision regarding your appeal, their decision is final.

Students who have an "I" or "X" grade are evaluated for academic standing and are still eligible for probation or dismissal based upon the remaining grades posted to their record.
