Bloomsburg University's Writing in the Disciplines initiative is a series of programs for faculty and students designed to make writing an integral part of university education.

Program services are contingent upon funding.

Two programs make up the WID Initiative:

  • Writing Fellows Program
Spring 2016 Pilot Funded by the Office of the Provost
  • Writing Enriched Curriculum

These programs are led by the Writing in the Disciplines Coordinator who oversees their development and implementation. Members of the Writing in the Disciplines Advisory Committee provide insight and guidance to the WID Coordinator. Together, the WID Coordinator and members of the Advisory Committee are responsible for advancing its mission, realizing its vision, and enacting its charges.

Visit the links above to learn more about each program and how faculty and students can participate to help make disciplinary writing practices a consistent part of the BU experience.
