Pi Omega Pi (Alpha Delta Chapter)

Pi Omega Pi is the National Business Education Teacher Honor Society, which has the purpose of promoting scholarship and service in the area of business education. For over 80 years, Pi Omega Pi has provided its members with a variety of services pertaining to business education.

As given in the National Constitution, our aim is to:

  • To create a fellowship among teachers of business subjects.
  • To create and encourage interest and promote scholarship in Business Education.
  • To encourage civic responsibility.
  • To foster high ethical standards in business and professional life among teachers of business.
  • To teach the ideal of service as the basis of all worthy enterprise.

Pi Omega Pi was founded in 1923 and became a part of Bloomsburg University in 1935, shortly after the degree of Business Education was added. To this day, there are more than 40 chapters all over the country although the Midwest, where it had originated from, contains the most.
