Tips for your visit

Parking for orientation is the Geisinger Bloomsburg Hospital Parking Lot located on Lightstreet Rd. Orientation staff will eagerly direct you from the parking lot to check-in and breakfast. If you find the Hospital Parking lot is full, overflow parking is behind the Andruss Library. Directions and a campus map may be helpful to you in your travels.

Wondering what to bring??? Just bring yourself, an open mind, and maybe something to write with! Remember to check the weather! It never rains in Bloomsburg…. But just in case it decides to start during orientation, we want our huskies to be prepared!

New Student Resources

BU Student Email

It is very important that you check your BU email account on a weekly basis as this is the ONLY way Bloomsburg University will communicate with you. If you have a smartphone, sync it to your phone!

Health Center

All new students are required to complete online health forms. These include Consent for Treatment, Health History, TB Screening Questionnaire, Immunization Dates, Medical Insurance Information, and the Notice of Privacy Practices. Health forms are accessed through the Health Center Web Portal.

On-Campus Parking

Motor vehicle parking on Bloomsburg University's campus is regulated and strictly enforced by university police. Motorists are strongly encouraged to park in appropriate locations, obtain necessary permits, and follow posted rules to avoid almost certain parking citations and fines.

Spring meal plans will begin with brunch on Saturday, January 20th


MyHusky allows you to register for classes, pay bills, view and accept financial aid and provides other related services and information.

On-Campus Housing: New First Year Students

Full-time new first year college students admitted as on-campus residents are required to live on campus unless they are over 20 years of age or are commuting from the home of their parent(s) or legal guardian(s) within approved commutable distance from campus (50 miles). Log into MyHousing for your housing information.

New Student Resident Hall Move In:

  • Friday, January 19, 2018 from 4 – 9pm
  • Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 8am – 8pm,
  • Sunday, January 21, 2018 from 8am – 8pm

Residence Life will contact you at your BU email account only letting you know when you may complete your housing request via MyHousing. Your housing assignment will be available in your MyHousing account on Wednesday, January 3, 2018.

Enrollment Services / Office of the Registrar

Enrollment Services / Office of the Registrar is the central office for student scheduling and registration, as well as commencement, college transcripts, undergraduate degree clearance, enrollment verifications, military credits, transfer credits, changing of a major, or declaring a minor.

Tutorial Services

University Tutorial Services (UTS) offers free peer tutoring services for Bloomsburg University students. All tutoring sessions must be scheduled through our office (we do not accept walk-ins) and will be held for one hour per week for each course you request and are matched for tutoring.
