Bloomsburg University's Master of Education in Middle Level Education program provides theoretical and practical experiences future teachers need to meet the challenges of educating the youth of our country. The graduate program is 54-graduate credits hours, which includes a practicum experience (3 credits) and a capstone student teaching experience (6 credits).

  • Bachelor's Degree from an Accredited University
  • GRE, MAT, or a Valid Teaching Certificate
  • Cumulative GPA 3.0 or greater
  • U.S. Citizenship to be certified to teach in Pennsylvania
  • Undergraduate course requirements related to program specialization of choice (see program coordinator)
  • Program Requirements – once accepted into the program (see program coordinator)
  • Graduate Program Requirement Packet (Gold Packet)
  • Clearances (Act 34, Act 151, FBI Fingerprinting, and Act 24)
  • Professional Liability Insurance
  • TB test
  • Completion of GPS (Graduate Professional Seminar) in first semester

M.Ed. Graduate Program Requirements Packet

Must be completed by the end of TWO semesters. Please see your advisor as soon as possible for guidance with the completion of this requirement. Please be advised, it's ultimately your responsibility to get this packet completed and into the early childhood and adolescent education office within the timeframe outlined in the packet.
