Duane Greenly keynote speaker for research day

BLOOMSBURG— Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania presents Duane Greenly ’72 as the keynote speaker for the College of Science and Technology (COST) Research Day on Friday, April 26, in McCormick 1303 at 3 p.m. COST Research Day will continue in the Andruss Library at 3:30 p.m. with poster presentations followed by an awards ceremony at 5:30 p.m.

COST Research Day involves undergraduate and graduate students from a broad range of disciplines within the college present the results of their research and scholarship conducted with faculty mentors and collaborators.

Greenly graduated with a bachelor’s degree in secondary education focusing in chemistry and later received a master’s degree in organic chemistry from Morehead University. Greenly went on with careers with Rubbermaid, Morgan Door, then later became the CEO of AMES True Temper, retiring as its president. Greenly currently serves as a managing partner with Stella Point Capital and has a business, JORY Properties, with his son-in-law.

Greenly remains active at BU, presenting to students, serving as chair on the Foundation Board of Directors, BU’s record-setting It’s Personal Campaign, and most recently, being named the William T. Derricott ’66 Volunteer of the Year for his service and contributions to the university.
