BU offers performance about disabilities in society

BLOOMSBURG— Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania’s Disabilities Advisory Committee presents “Love = Family” on Tuesday, March 26, at 7 p.m. in McCormick Center, room 1303.

Fionn and Jonathan have traveled from their home in Ireland to perform and lecture around the world. They’ve interviewed over 500 people to learn what we love about life. They will give a presentation on inclusion for individuals with disabilities in society, education, music and the arts. The presentation will include a musical performance by the father and son duo.

As one of Ireland's youngest Heritage Experts (and the only one with Down syndrome), Fionn makes a powerfully affirmative impression on children. Jonathan, with over 20 years' classroom experience, provides technical assistance and leads craft activities, songs and games which reinforce the learning experience.

Bloomsburg University is one of 14 universities in Pennsylvania’s State System of Higher Education. The university serves approximately 8,900 students, offering comprehensive programs of study in the colleges of Education, Business, Liberal Arts and Science and Technology.
