Aging Special Interest Group to host first-ever Silver Husky Games

BLOOMSBURG— Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania’s Aging Special Interest Group (ASIG) will host the first Silver Husky Games on Saturday, Oct. 20, from 10 a.m. to noon at the BU Rec Center.  Registration is free and will begin at 9:30 a.m. the day of the event.

Participants will compete in games such as a basketball shoot, tennis ball toss, table tennis, Jenga and a relay walk-race with each event lasting 20 minutes.

Participation in the Silver Husky Games is open to those 60 years of age and older. Participants can join as a team (of four) or as an individual. One BU student will also be assigned to each team on the day of the games as an alternate. The Inn At Turkey Hill, Cole’s Hardware, Dutch Wheelman Bicycle Shop, YMCA, Incredible Popcorn, Kressler’s Auto Service, Weis and Giant are providing prizes. The Bloomsburg University Departments of Communication Studies, Nursing, and Psychology are supporting the event.
