BU to host Penn State kinesiology and physiology professor

BLOOMSBURG— Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania will host a seminar by Penn State University College of Health and Human Development professor David N. Proctor titled, “Rejuvenating Aging Bodies and Blood Vessels One Beet at a Time,” on Friday, March 23, at 3 p.m. in Centennial Hall, room 218.

Proctor specializes in vascular physiology, aging and exercise as medicine. His research focuses on human cardiovascular training, its functional consequences, sex-specific mechanisms, potential therapeutic strategies and effects on arterial and cardiac stiffness as well as control of skeletal muscle blood flow at rest and during exercise.

The seminar is presented by the Bloomsburg University Department of Exercise Science.
