Trustees Approve Fees for 2018-19

BLOOMSBURG —Bloomsburg University’s Council of Trustees approved fees for the 2018-19 academic year during the quarterly meeting Wednesday, March 7.

The Trustees approved increases in room and board fees, raising the cost of a traditional residence hall room by $114 per semester, apartment-style housing by $148 per semester, and the most common 14-meal plan with $250 Flex by $13 per semester.  Combined room and board fees (double with 14 meals/$250 flex) will increase from $4,616 to $4.743 per semester.

In addition, Trustees also voted to approve an increase in the Kehr Union operations fee from 3 percent of tuition to 5 percent of tuition.

Also during the meeting, the Trustees:

  • Approved purchasing activity under Act 188.
  • Approved faculty emeritus status for retiree Leo Barrile, Department of Sociology, Social Work and Crminal Justice.
  • Approved the following schedule for quarterly meetings, all Wednesdays: June 13, Sept. 19 and Dec. 5, 2018, and March 6 and June 19, 2019.
