BU Nursing Programs Ranks Third in the State

For Immediate Release: Jan. 29, 2018

BLOOMSBURG— Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania’s nursing program is ranked third on RegisteredNursing.org’s list of 2018’s Best RN Programs in Pennsylvania.

RegisteredNursing.org formulates the list based on each university’s pass rate on the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN), an evaluation every student must pass to become a registered nurse.

Out of the seventy-six PA nursing programs analyzed, BU earned the third spot on the list with an NCLEX-RN pass rate of 97.32%. RegisteredNursing.org describes BU’s nursing program as “rigorous and demanding” and credits much of its success to the “real world clinical labs, patient-based theory, and supportive faculty.”

BU has recently continued its dedication to student success by signing a Guaranteed Admissions Agreement with Luzerne County Community College (LCCC). The agreement guarantees admission for graduates from LCCC with an Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in nursing into BU’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) online degree program.
