Rules and Guidelines

1. Senior Division open to students grades 10-12. Junior Division open to students grades 7-9. Vocal or instrumental entries welcome.

2. Submit an audio or video recording of your performance of 1-2 selections + the official entry form by December 18, 2017.

• The entry form can be found above.
• Your repertoire should not exceed 2 selections or a total performance time of 10 minutes.
• Repertoire should be art/classical/folksong. No Pop, Broadway, Jazz or personal compositions, please.
• Submitted performances should be acoustic; no electronic amplification, please.
• Submitted performances may include accompaniment or be unaccompanied.
• Recordings and Entry Forms can be submitted in hard-copy (cassette or CD) or submitted in electronic form to YouTube links are also accepted. Digital file names or hard-copy recordings should
include your name.

3. Finalists will be announced by January 8, 2018 and invited to perform live for a panel of adjudicators on Saturday, February 3, 2018 on the main stage of the Mitrani Center, Bloomsburg University.

• Finalists must perform the repertoire submitted on their entries.
• Finalists must perform with accompaniment.
• You may bring your own accompanist, or...we will provide an accompanist if you supply the printed accompaniment in advance; a brief rehearsal time will be scheduled for the day of the finals.

4. Winners in each Division will be announced on February 5, 2018 and featured in Gala Recitals in Bloomsburg University's historic Gross Auditorium on Saturday afternoon, May 5, 2018 (Senior Division at 1:00 pm, Junior
Division at 3:00 pm). Senior Winners will enjoy professional coaching/accompaniment by Ron Stabinsky. Junior Winners will be coached/accompanied by faculty from the Bloomsburg University Dept. of Music, Theatre, &
Dance. Both recitals will be professionally recorded in video.

5. Senior Winners will offer a repeat performance of this recital, accompanied by Mr. Stabinsky, at 4:00 pm on Sunday afternoon, May 6, 2018 in the Sordoni Theater at the WVIA-FM studios in Pittston. The recital will be
recorded for later broadcast to the region during summer 2017. Senior Winners will also receive a copy of this recording.

6. Winners must participate in all required recitals/recordings. Please check dates against your calendar before submitting an entry.
