BU To Be Featured on Newsmakers Show

BLOOMSBURG—Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania will be featured on this month’s edition of Newsmakers to air on WYOU-TV on Sunday, July 9, at 6:30 a.m. The show will be repeated on Sunday, July 16, at noon on WBRE-TV.

The show, hosted by veteran reporter Andy Mehalshick and producer Jayne Ann Bugda will feature interviews with Jim Brown, Ph.D., dean of the College of Liberal Arts, and Joseph Hazzard, Ed.D., ATC, director, Institute for Concussion Research and Services.

Brown will be discussing the university’s new Anchor Program to aid young adults aging out of the foster care program, while Hazzard will talk about BU’s work in the field of concussion research.

Bloomsburg University is one of 14 universities in Pennsylvania’s State System of Higher Education. The university serves approximately 9,600 students, offering comprehensive programs of study in the colleges of Education, Business, Liberal Arts and Science and Technology.
