The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level (AA#52-7-085), in an ACS-approved and ASBMB-accredited program, to begin fall 2018. Candidates must have a Ph.D., or be ABD, in Chemistry with expertise in organic chemistry. Candidates must: 1) have a strong interest and demonstrated proficiency in teaching organic chemistry and introductory chemistry courses to undergraduate science majors and non-majors; 2) demonstrate an ability and interest in developing an active research program in organic chemistry that involves undergraduate students and complements the existing research within the department; and 3) demonstrate a commitment to the recruitment, retention, and advisement of undergraduate students. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations is preferred.
