The newsletter provides a wealth of information about all the happenings in the department, as well as important information about the English faculty.

Spring 2009 Newsletter

BU's English program is a vibrant place where faculty and students are encouraged to develop and flourish through written, verbal and visual communication. To sustain those endeavors, faculty and students are supported through events and publications, as well as through internships and professional development opportunities on and off campus.

Ervene Gulley Faculty Lecture Series

Ervene Gulley Faculty Lecture Series provides an opportunity for faculty and students to learn about the academic interests of BU's faculty. It's supported by Sigma Tau Delta, the English Honor Society and named in honor of the late chair of the department and long-time advisor of the honor society.

Friday Films

Friday Films With the tutelage of David Randall, associate professor of English, the department supports the showing of some critically acclaimed films during the semester. They are free of charge and are available in 1303 McCormick Human Sciences Center. The shows begin at 7:30 p.m.

Sigma Tau Delta

The International Honor Society of English Majors and Minors has a capture here at BU and is housed in the Department of English. The society seeks to recognize students who excel in literary studies and supports their work as they grow through enriching their knowledge through academic and scholarly endeavor.
