Greetings fellow Huskies, my name is Joar Dahn and I am more than honored to have the privilege to serve you as your student body president. A little about myself, I am a native of Liberia. I come from a family of Politicians. I am a product of America’s first free Catholic High School for boys, the historic Roman Catholic High School. I loved my time at Roman and it prepared me to be a great leader and person at the college level and professional level. At Roman I was very active but still managed to maintain grades good enough to earn me full rides to various university, I obviously made the best decision in choosing a full Board of Governors scholarship to the best university in the state; Bloomsburg University.

My freshman year here wasn’t the best and I wasn’t active at all. In my quest to be more active here at Bloom, I have completed the CLE’s Leadership Certification Program Levels 1 and 2, currently working on Level 3, I am a member of the Catholic Campus Ministry(CCM), I am an Extraordinary Minister, Altar Server and Lector at St. Columba Parish through the CCM, and I am currently the President of the African Student Association here at Bloomsburg University. I am lucky to be able to call Bloomsburg University home but I am blessed to be able to represent the students at this great university as their president. I am always opened to new ideas and would love to hear from all of you guys. My office is located in 423 Kehr Union and my office phone number is (570) 389-4901. Amayir Capers - Vice President (cgavp@bloomu.edu)

Hey Huskies!  My name is Amayir Capers, and I am the Vice-President of the Community Government Association. I am a Junior, majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. Sophomore year, I was voted by the Senate to serve as the vice president of the Association via a special election. Then, I was later re-elected by the student body for a second term in the 2018 - 2019 academic year. I am Head Coach, President and one of the founders of The Husky Boxing Club.  With that being said, I am a fighter who will continue to fight for all the needs of the entire student body.  If you see me around campus, please feel free to speak to me about any questions, thoughts or concerns you may have and I will make them my top priority.  Huskies Forever!

Hey Huskies! My name is Sita Cherif and I am your newly elected Treasurer of the Community Government Association. I am a senior Communication Studies major in the leadership & public advocacy track. I have been an active member in CGA since joining my junior year, I was the Fall 2017 Senator of the Semester and was awarded a scholarship for my work within the organization. I work with the Department of Residence Life here on campus as a Community Assistant (CA) for Elwell Hall. I am also the Treasurer for Bloomsburg’s African Student Association, and have been for the past two years. I hail from Academy Park High School in Sharon Hill, PA but I am from southwest Philadelphia. I love to see people happy, and if you are unhappy with anything here on campus please come talk to me in the CGA office in KUB 420.

Hey everyone! My name is Sarah Rhineer and I am the secretary for the executive board in CGA for the 2017-2018 year. I am in my sophomore year and I am an elementary education/special education dual major with a Spanish minor. I also play the clarinet here at Bloomsburg and I'm a part of the girls club lacrosse as well.

I'm super excited to be serving on this executive board with my fellow board members.

Hey, fellow Huskies! My name is Paul Petaccio, your acting executive assistant here on campus. I hail from Father Judge Catholic High Shcool for Men and reside in Port Richmond, Philadelphia. I am currently a Junior of the Business Marketing Major here at this fine institution. I was brought on to my position by President Dahn and look forward to fulfilling my duties for all of the student body here at Bloomsburg. I am also currently the vice president, one of the founders and acting captain of the Husky Boxing club. That being said, I am here for each and every student. If you see me on campus, don't hesitate to stop and say hello, I would be more than happy to talk with a fellow student. Go Huskies!

Hey Guys! My name is Carlos Mendoza and I am the Historian/Public Relations for CGA. I was appointed this position in the 2018 spring semester. I graduated from Roberto Clemente Charter School in Allentown,PA. I am a mass communications major with a track in public relations. I am also the public relations chair for the student organizations of latinos as well as a student worker at the office of multicultural affairs. I look forward to be working along with an amazing executive board and hope to have a great semester ahead of us. Do not hesitate to reach out with any concerns or to stop by the office anytime!

Irvin A. Mulbah - Parliamentarian (iam11893@huskies.bloomu.edu)

What’s up Huskies! My name is Irvin Mulbah and I am your newly appointed Parliamentarian. I am a senior double major in Economics and Business Management. I am more than blessed to say that I am a Board of Governor scholar with a full ride. I have held various leadership positions throughout my years here at Bloomsburg University ranging from working in res life as a Community Assistant to being a Program Assistant for the Summer Preparatory Academy. I also am the president of The Impact Movement here on campus.

I’m always on the move, but if you spot me around on my leisure, feel free to come have a chat or just say hello. Inquiries and concerns are always welcomed, whether via email or in person. Looking forward to a great year. Go Huskies!

John N. Thomas - Student Trustee (sttrustee@bloomu.edu)

I am a criminal justice major from Harvey’s Lake and I was appointed to Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania’s Council of Trustees. The letter of appointment was signed May 17, 2017 by Gov. Tom Wolf. I am the Secretary of the class of 2020, am a Community Government Association off-campus representative and I also am a chair of the BU Student Recreation Center committee. I have completed leadership certification levels one through three from the Bloomsburg University Center for Leadership and Engagement. I serve on the BU concert committee, the health advisory board and am an Alpha Phi Omega community service fraternity brother. I am a member of the Bloomsburg Town Planning Commission and Bloomsburg Town/Gown relations Committee. I have worked with administration to start the Adopt-A-Street initiative, attempting to clean up the streets of Bloomsburg and aid in University/Community relations. I am also a mentor to incoming freshman through the Board of Governors Program.

A 2016 graduate of Lake Lehman High School and senior class vice president, Thomas was awarded the 2015-16 Good Citizenship Award; was a member of the National Honor Society; earned the rank of Eagle Scout and won the 2015 NASA certificate of achievement.

Hi Ya’ll! My name is Steven Lopez and I am one of the Senate Representatives on the Executive Board. My major is Psychology with a minor in American Sign Language (ASL). I have been in the Community Government Association (CGA) since I was a freshman and am extremely grateful to be going into my 3rd year in this organization. This year I am the Junior Class President and I am proud to be able to assist in any way that I can. I love to help people and make sure everyone’s heard. My name is Angela Montaño, but I go by Ange. I’m originally from Northern Virginia and I was raised in Philly. I am currently a Senior majoring an English with a concentration in Literature with a track in Secondary Education with a minor in Spanish. I am an Afro-Latina whose a first generation college student. Bloomsburg University is my home away from home and it has taught me so much about myself! I’m super excited to be apart of the CGA Executive Board and to embark on this journey of making our university home for future students!
