CGA Executive Board

Joar F. Dahn - President (

Greetings fellow Huskies, my name is Joar Dahn and I am more than honored to have the privilege to serve you as your student body president. A little about myself, I am a native of Liberia. I come from a family of Politicians. I am a product of America’s first free Catholic High School for boys, the historic Roman Catholic High School. I loved my time at Roman and it prepared me to be a great leader and person at the college level and professional level. At Roman I was very active but still managed to maintain grades good enough to earn me full rides to various university, I obviously made the best decision in choosing a full Board of Governors scholarship to the best university in the state; Bloomsburg University.

My freshman year here wasn’t the best and I wasn’t active at all. In my quest to be more active here at Bloom, I have completed the CLE’s Leadership Certification Program Levels 1 and 2, currently working on Level 3, I am a member of the Catholic Campus Ministry(CCM), I am an Extraordinary Minister, Altar Server and Lector at St. Columba Parish through the CCM, and I am currently the President of the African Student Association here at Bloomsburg University. I am lucky to be able to call Bloomsburg University home but I am blessed to be able to represent the students at this great university as their president. I am always opened to new ideas and would love to hear from all of you guys. My office is located in 423 Kehr Union and my office phone number is (570) 389-4901. Feel free to stop by anytime even if it is just to say hi or call/ email me for an appointment. Go Huskies!
