Bloomsburg University’s annual Career Connections Expo, held each fall and spring semester, brings together students of all majors seeking opportunities in all industries with companies and organizations looking to recruit capable and qualified applicants for:

  • Full and part-time jobs
  • Internships
  • Job shadowing experiences
  • Graduate programs

Under the “Register for Events” tab, select Career Fairs and then Bloomsburg University Career Connections Expo-STUDENTS. *Please update your profile information in Husky Career Link. Review the list of registered employers (updated daily) to identify attending organizations you would like to visit and prepare questions to ask.

Before the Expo

Prepare in advance of the expo to increase your chances for a positive, successful experience:

  • Attend upcoming Professional U career readiness workshops.
  • Select what you will wear. If you are in need of professional attire, visit the Career Closet, Fenstemaker Alumni House.
  • More tips to prepare for the expo.

During the Expo

You can expect to speak with several recruiters and campus representatives throughout the day. For a productive and beneficial experience:

  • Arrive dressed professionally
  • Bring a portfolio to make notes and gather information
  • Sign in and pick up your name tag
  • Review the expo table map to locate organizations of interest to you
  • Greet recruiters with confidence, a smile, and a handshake. Remember to thank them at the end of your conversation

After the Expo

Career networking doesn’t stop when the expo ends. Keep the conversation going by following up with representatives you’ve met and by researching organizations and application deadlines:

  • Compose an email and handwritten “thank you” message for each representative you’ve met and send within 24 hours
  • Investigate if any organizations of interest to you will be returning to campus to recruit and request an interview
  • Follow up by sending resumes or completing online applications
