The Career Intensive Boot Camp is a 2.5-day experience for seniors, juniors and recent graduates to learn how to leverage their skills and experience to not only get a job, but to be successful in the transition from student to professional. Bloomsburg University holds boot camps during the fall and spring semesters each year at the Greenly Center in downtown Bloomsburg. Students must pre-register and pay a nominal fee to participate. Financial assistance is considered upon request. Students must complete a BOLT course prior attending the boot camp.

During the boot camp, students participate in more than 20 unique sessions covering topics such as: Compensation Considerations, Debunking the “Career Path” Myth, The Shocking Truth of Getting Hired, Making Connections on LinkedIn, Mock Interviews and Instructor-led Etiquette Dinner.

All participants receive:
• Access to the online BOLT course
• Meals and materials, including a four-course etiquette dinner
• Leather-bound portfolio
• One-on-one resume or cover letter review
• Two mock interviews
• Networking opportunities with more than 60 alumni, partner organization representatives, faculty and staff
• Certificate of completion

Five things I learned at the Career Intensive Boot Camp

Boot Camp

By Katelyn Caralle '16

A lot of times as students we feel that we have attended so many workshops, had our resume reviewed so many times and participated in so many networking events, that we are as prepared as we are ever going to be for post graduate life.

I thought the same thing until I attended a Career Intensive Boot Camp.
